Nemesis Weapons are among the Grey Knights’ greatest tools. Here’s how they’ll work in Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate Daemonhunters.

In Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate Daemonhunters, you get to X-Com your very own squad of Grey Knights across the galaxy hunting daemons. As you might expect. And in order to be daemonhunters, your squad has access to some of the best weapons in the Imperium. Because it turns out that you don’t have to become monsters to destroy them if you’ve got incredible psychic power and transhuman genetic modification that makes you into something decidedly inhuman in the process.

Anyway. Grey Knights are among the best of the best of the Defenders of Humanity. And as such, they get the good toys. Their specialization in psychic powers means they’re well-equipped to wield Nemesis Force Weapons. And in Daemonhunters, every Force Weapon adds something a little different. Let’s take a look.

Nemesis Force Sword

Let’s start with the basic. It doesn’t get more basic than a single Nemesis Force Sword. These blades are psychically attuned to the unique skills and personalities of their owners. And in Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters, you’ll get a different ability with each weapon.

In the case of the Nemesis Force Sword, you’ll gain a chance to parry an incoming attack, shown above.

Nemesis Falchions

Paired short swords, Nemesis Falchions are designed to strike with blinding speed. Special circuitry allows these weapons to strike with the swiftness and ferocity of a lightning bolt, delivering powerful blows with pinpoint accuracy.

And in the game, this translates to a higher chance to deal critical hit as well as improved precision strikes, allowing you to pick and choose from your extra effects.

Nemesis Demon Hammer

These massive hammers are powerful weapons indeed. They can deliver crushing blows amplified by the wielder’s incredible strength and psychic prowess, allowing for truly devastating damage.

In Daemonhunters, this means the Demon Hammer can be psychically charged so that it deals extra raw damage when making powerful slam attacks.

Nemesis Force Halberd

A weapon of true elegance. The Nemesis Force Halberd adds an adamantium haft to the blade of iron and silver, giving the Grey Knight wielding it even greater reach. This reach often allows them to defeat foes before they can get within range of the Grey Knight.

In Daemonhunters, this means you have a chance to strike first, acting outside of the typical speed of combat.

Which weapons will you use?
