Warhammer Events – US Open Series Announced
Games Workshop has announced the locations and dates for the Warhammer US Open Series Events. Time to start prepping your travel plans!
It looks like Games Workshop is heading out west for the next round of the US Open Events. They have released the dates and locations so you can start planning your vacation days. So where are these events going down? Let’s take a look.
The Events
US Open Seattle 2022 May 6th – May 8th
US Open San Diego 2022 June 9th – June 12th
US Open Chicago 2022 October 6th – October 9th
US Open Kansas City 2022 October 27th – October 30th
Grand Narrative & US Open Finale 2022 New Mexico November 17th – November 20th
Games Workshop is also planning on some more options for players at these events this year. Not only will these events feature both a Grand Tournament for Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, but they will also be hosting other hobby events, too.
“As major events in the Warhammer calendar, each tournament awards points (where appropriate) towards ranking systems such as the International Tournament Circuit (ITC), and there are some amazing prizes to boot – more on those later. Meanwhile, each weekend’s Crusade and Path to Glory events begin on Friday after work and continue Saturday and Sunday, offering an epic narrative if that’s more your speed than a head-to-head tournament.
In addition to the Grand Tournaments and Narratives, each location is also hosting specialist hobby events for one of your favourite game systems. Incredible hobby seminars, tournaments for Kill Team, Warhammer Underworlds, and Blood Bowl – there’s even the chance to just come by and pick up a game or two throughout the weekend. All this is on tap for the US Opens this year.”
There will be LOTS to do even if you’re not playing in the big Grand Tournament events. Each location is also going be be located at some pretty swanky hotels. If you’re looking to get signed up you might want to jump on those tickets now. Two of the dates are already selling tickets right now!
Having played at the US Open Event in Austin last year I can say it was a blast! This year’s events look bigger and better and I can’t wait to see how they turn out.
