‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Release Pushed Back
Something we’re all used to at this point – Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse release date has been moved to 2023.
The Oscar-winning, animated Into the Spider-Verse will be returning to the big screen, just later than expected. Several of Sony Animation’s projects have been moved on schedule along with it. That includes Madame Web, which is now set for July 7, 2023. The extra wait is disappointing, but if it makes for a better movie it’s all good.
The first movie’s amazing animation is defiantly intact and they’re continuing to push boundaries. It caught audiences with the rapid style changes and impressive camera work. I loved the first one and all of the characters it introduced to the screen. Spider-Woman is joining them this time. Issa Rae is lending her voice to the character.
The first movie opened up some story possibilities that would expand into other dimensions. The most obvious is the introduction of Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 in the post-credits. That is where we are going according to the first trailer. I can’t wait to see this next year.
New Across the Spider-Verse Release Date
While the release date is moving, none of the movie’s details are changing. The cast brings back Oscar Isaac, Shameik Moore, and Hailee Steinfeld; as well as director Joaquim Dos Santos and writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga. An epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse. Where he will join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.
Hopefully this one sticks.
The first part of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part 1 arrives in theaters on June 2, 2023.
