Total War: Warhammer 3 – Patch 1.1 Set For April 5th
Good news for all you Total War: Warhammer commanders out there, Patch 1.1 finally has a release date–and it’s next week.
That’s right Total War: Warhammer 3’s patch 1.1 release date is set–if not in stone, then, at least in data. Earlier Creative Assembly announced that its team was “aiming for April 5th” for the highly-anticipated patch.
To all our commanders, we are happy to share that our teams are aiming to release Patch 1.1 on Tuesday 5th April.

With patch 1.1 comes a number of fixes, tweaks, and quality of life updates players have been waiting for. The team at Creative Assembly have been hard at work since launch. So far we’ve seen a few hotfixes to take care of major issues. But, players are still hoping for a few big changes to the game.
Perhaps the most-requested change is the “Immortal Empires” mode–which is essentially the freeplay mode from Total War: Warhammers 1 & 2 but bigger and better than ever. This mode, according to dataminers, will expand to cover all territories introduced across the three games. Now, it’s extremely unlikely this will be in Patch 1.1. According to Creative Assembly there’s a lot that needs to happen to update both old and new content.
Even so, the other big feature players are excited about might see some play in Patch 1.1 — a fix to the Rift Race. The Chaos Rifts and the race to complete the ritual are a point of contention among players looking to replay the game. The narrative drive can interrupt people who are just looking to build their nation, conquer territories, and expand their empire. While the tension of trying to beat the other factions to the finish line makes for an exciting story, many players have expressed their frustration at being unable to stall the AI.
So it’s been win the race as it happens, or lose. There’s no playing for time. But one of the features Creative Assembly has mentioned in the past is a fix for the Souls race.
This could give players the option of being able to knock their competitors down–essentially buying them the time they need to play the game and build their empires at their leisure. So long as they can keep other factions from catching up.
What do you hope to see in Patch 1.1?
