Warhammer 40K: 5 More Heresy Era Kits We Hope Get The Plastic Treatment
If they can do it to the Spartan Assault Tank then Games Workshop can turn these into plastic kits, too!
Games Workshop announced that the Spartan Assault Tank was getting converted over to plastic. This used to be a Forge World only kit and it’s a big ol’boy! We’re excited that they chose to convert it over and we’ve got a few more suggestions of Heresy Era kits we’d love to see get the plastic treatment.
Legion Kharybdis Assault Claw
If you’ve never seen one of these up close they are pretty nutty. They are also (unfortunately) resin. That makes them awkwardly heavy and hard to transport. I’d LOVE to see this one get the plastic treatment for the Horus Heresy!
Legion Scimitar Pattern Jetbike
The Scimitar Pattern Jetbikes are different enough from the Dawneagle Jetbikes that I’d like to see them get a plastic release. It’s cool to see them zoom around in squads but being a resin release, that make it a rare sight. If they were plastic you’d see a lot more of them on the tabletops of Heresy Era games!
Legio Custodes Sagittarum Guard Upgrade Set
Yeah, you caught me. I want Custodes with fancy bolters. It’s a shame they only have the upgrade pack from Forge World right now.
This seems like a real easy fix from Games Workshop. And they could fill a dual role in 40k and give the Custodes another unit option they could use. Sounds like a win-win.
Terrax Pattern Termite Assault Drill
We might have mentioned this one before…but can the Adeptus Mechanicus get a copy of this in plastic? Sure, sure, they got a transport already. But it’s not quite as cool as a transport that bores through the ground and pops-up to deliver its payload! It’s the rise of the Mole-people only more Grimdark and metal!
Mastodon Heavy Assault Transport
It will never happen. But if you had told me a week ago that the Spartan Assault Tank was getting a plastic release I would have said the same thing. And hey, since we’re wishlisting, might as well swing big, right?! A plastic Mastodon should be cheaper and lighter, too. I’d love to see more of these behemoths on the tabletop and a badass plastic version would be a great way to make that happen!
