Warhammer 40K: 5 Things We’re Hoping To See At Warhammer Fest 2022
Warhammer Fest 2022 is kicking off next week. Here’s what we’re hoping to see on the 40k front.
Mark your Calendars for Warhammer Fest 2022 May 4th-7th. GW made the announcement and we’ve been thinking about each day and what we’re hoping to see. We also know there are few things that are left hanging on the 40k side of things and we’re hoping to get a resolution. So let’s dive in.
Leagues of Votann Previews
We got a look at the basic trooper stats. I’m hoping to see more info on the army as well as new models! What sorts of vehicles will they have? What sorts of other weapons will they have? Are we going to see exo-suits again? Bikers? A Land Train!!??!?! Our excitement is showing and we’re hoping to learn more about the League of Votann at Warhammer Fest 2022.
Astra Militarum Codex Announcement
There’s a few stragglers left when it comes to codexes and the Astra Militarum are on our “look out for” list. They’ve been getting various updates and changes from the Balance Dataslates but they could really use a deeper-dive. I’m not sure if we’ll see this one next week but we can hope, can’t we?
Chaos Space Marine News
They are getting a new name (sorta) and an updated statline — so when are we going to get more info on the rest of the Chaos Space Marine Legions? Aren’t they due for a codex, too? We think so! Fingers crossed we’ll get some more info about them at Warhammer Fest 2022 (perhaps a new unit or two for fun). And speaking of chaos…
Chaos Daemon Codex?
What’s going on with the Chaos Daemons? They’ve been pretty quiet ever since Be’lakor showed up. He’s the First Daemon Prince and Master of Darkness — not the Master of Silence! We’re hoping to hear some news about Chaos Daemons and maybe get some info on plans for a Codex coming soon. Also maybe some info on this guy:
Big Wings…possible Khorne Symbol…New Daemon Prince of Khorne. You don’t think it’s Angron, do you?
“Future Plans” Update
We haven’t seen a 40k Road Map since last year. And yes, things have been weird with the delays and push backs. We know. But it would be nice to get a generic road map of some kind for 40k. Even if it’s just “Here’s a redacted box cover with a generic Q3-Q4” under it. We don’t know what’s in the pipe or if there’s even a pipe at this point. So some sort of future plans info would be much appreciated.
