Warhammer 40K: No Seriously, Squats Are Back – Now With A Models To Prove It
Turns out, yeah, that wasn’t a gag. April 1st or not the Squats really are coming back and Games Workshop has the models to prove it!
If you were skeptical about the Squat announcement yesterday you had every right to be. It was April 1st afterall and the internet can be a treacherous place. However, Games Workshop wasn’t goofing around. The Squats are really coming back. The Hype-Train has officially left the station.
“Yes, they’re really real. In an April Fools double-bluff that had Tzeentch himself scratching his feathered head, Humanity’s long-lost cousins actually are making their return to the 41st Millennium as a full Warhammer 40,000 faction.”
Squat Models Are Real
Yeah. YEAH. It’s really happening. And it’s not just ONE model. Oh no. It’s going to be a full fledged range of miniatures.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Or maybe Ore Vein? I dunno what you want to call it because I’m too excited to think right now. They are also getting a rebranding, too.
Leagues of Votann
“Although their civilisation shares common roots with Humanity, the Leagues of Votann have an uneasy relationship with the Imperium of Man. Unlike their superstitious Human cousins, the Leagues emerged from the Age of Strife with far more of their ancient technology intact, including some infamous advances the Imperium would consider extremely heretical.

So when are they going to arrive? Later this year! But we’re still a few months out. So for now, soak up those awesome looking miniatures and enjoy the revamp of the “Squat” range. The Leagues of Votann are coming to help push back chaos. And I’m guessing they might have some beef with the Tyranids, too.
