Get ready for the arrival of the Warpmend Pacts. These new Tzeentch Warbands are all about bringing the change!

The battle for the Nachmund Gauntlet continues in Rift War. After the events in Vigilus at the tail end of 8th edition, Abaddon’s plan for Chaos domination continues. Now we see the fight move into the Nachmund Gauntlet itself as various forces jockey for position and planets. The fighting is fierce and appropriately chaotic. Today, we’re getting a look at a new Army of Renown joining the fray.

Warpmeld Pacts are sorcerous warbands who see realspace as an imperfect reflection of the shapeless warp – and so they’ve come to the Nachmund Gauntlet, the galaxy’s most stable path through the Great Rift. These roving heretics exemplify change, using mutagenic powers and tricksy magics to create monstrous Chaos Spawn and worse. “

Rift War – Tzeentch Tzaangors

Have you wanted to play a pure Tzaangor force? Well now you can! This new Army of Renown is dedicated to Tzeentch in the most Tzaangor ways possible.

That’s right — bring on the beaks because you no longer need to bring a ratio of Thousand Sons to Tzaangors. You can just bring whatever Tzaangor flocks you want. Plus, they even get a few extra bonuses. And we’re not just talking about that 5+ invulnerable save.

Tzaangor Shamans also get a bonus ability called Strength of the Brayherd. This allows for to generate extra cabal points when they are surrounded by other Tzaangors…which should be plenty easy in this army. These Tzaangors are also getting access to their own Warlord Traits like Manipulator of Reality:

Give your opponents the old switcheroo by placing up to three Tzaangor units back in your deployment zone or into Strategic Reserves — all for free. No need to spend those valuable CP on this ploy. And the trickery doesn’t stop there. This Army of Renown also has some new Cabbalistic Rituals to play with:

Everyone loves getting ‘free’ models back into their units, right? Along with those new Rituals there are also 7 new “Shifty Stratagems” to use in with this army. Take Ephemeral Existence as an example:

Do you just want to phase through terrain? Or maybe pull a Kool-Aid man but without the mess of breaking through a wall (or all that sugar)? “Oh Yeah!?” Of course you do.

It’s about to be the Tzaangor’s time to shine in Rift War!
