The Horus Heresy revamp is coming with a bunch of new plastic kits and today Games Workshop has revealed a new Praetor model coming soon.
“Praetors were the mightiest warriors and battle-leaders of the Space Marine Legions. They commanded the war hosts of the Great Crusade and held the power of life and death in their hands.”
Plastic Praetor Revealed
Following up with the news that the “Beakie” Marines are getting their due for this run this new Praetor comes with a pair of head options. Rocking the MK VI armor means you do get a classic Beakie helmet. Alternatively you can go helmetless for that “shoot me in the face” look.
Wargear-wise you the Praetor comes with a master-crafted volkite charger for a shooting option. His sword can either be treated as a power weapon or as a paragon blade. I doubt you’ll have any objections with either option. On the defensive side of the house he’s wearing artificer armor and has an Iron Halo to keep him in the fight.
Notably the Praetor doesn’t have any specific legion markings. That’s so you can paint him up and slot him into any fighting force you’re working on. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a great modeling option for a Space Marine Captain, you can’t go wrong with this cool, new Praetor!
