Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II – Release Date And Trailer Reveal
One day after its QA at Raven Software unionized, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II gets a release date and new trailer.
Look we all know that correlation != causation, but I’m just saying. Before their QA devs unionized, the game didn’t have a release date. Truly organized labor is a modern marvel.
At any rate, the news dropped earlier today. Come take a look at the 22nd game in the franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare II New Trailer
Task Force 141 makes its massive impact and presence known across the Port of Long Beach, thanks to a colossal reveal on an unprecedented scale.
A global squad of iconic veterans and new legends of yet untold clandestine missions, these Operators are set to deliver a new era of Call of Duty when Modern Warfare® II releases on October 28, 2022.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II‘s October 2022 release means it comes out just shy of eleven years after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. And a full 13 years after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The latest Call of Duty marks the 22nd entry in the series.
And while details are few and far between, here’s a brief summary of what we know so far:
- The game will be set in a modern era.
- There will be guns.
- A gravelly voiced man will do some shooting.
- Your favorite gun will be underpowered
- Unless it’s the Riot Shield or 725 Shotgun
We also know that the plot will center around “key members of Task Force 141, including Team leader Captain John Price, Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish, lone-wolf Simon “Ghost” Riley, and Colonel Alejandro Vargas of the Mexican Special Forces.”
Presumably at least one of them is actually Ansem who’s gone back in time to implant sorrow into the data version of “Soap” MacTavish in order to test them to see if they’re ready to be Norted.
