‘Stranger Things’ Brings the Hellfire Club (and D&D) to Netflix’s Geeked Week
Stranger Things and D&D, together again for Netflix’ Geeked Week with The Hellfire Club, a D&D adventure with the Stranger Things cast.
Stranger Things and Dungeons & Dragons, two great tastes that taste great together. When Stranger Things swept the nation back in 2016 — a statement that proves time broke in 2020 — it brought Dungeons & Dragons back into the public consciousness in a big way. Since then the two have gone hand in hand. Even going so far as to have a boxed D&D set:
And in Stranger Things, the game has played an important role. D&D unites the main kids in the Hellfire Club, and also gives names to the series’ many antagonists. All of which to say, the two are inextricably linked.
Which is why Netflix’s recent Geeked Week announcement advertising a D&D Adventure featuring the Hellfire Club makes perfect sense. The Stranger Things cast will play D&D for your entertainment during Geeked Week. Check it out.
The Hellfire Club: A Stranger Things Dungeons & Dragons Adventure
The announcement first came during Netflix’ Geeked Week reveal. Netflix showed off a poster featuring the Gray Man, the Sandman, and that’s a lot of The ___ Mans isn’t it? But it also features The Hellfire Club: A Stranger Things Dungeons & Dragons Adventure right there for June 9th.
Then late last week, B. Dave Walters, whom you might recognize as the DM from G4’s Invitation to Party, revealed a little more:

June 9th at 11am CST, you’ll get to see the Hellfire Club. From the sound of it, the adventure is pre-recorded, as most are these days. But you’ll get to see the Stranger Things cast gathered together to play D&D. And while we don’t know too much about what’s coming, this isn’t the first time Stranger Things and D&D have crossed over like this.
