Need to fill out your Napoleon Wars era British forces? These fantastic and characterful miniatures by Wargames Atlantic are worth a look.

You could easily use this set to reproduce the company from Sharpe’s Rifles or a couple of interesting warbands for Osprey Game’s The Silver Bayonet. Below is a quick introduction to Sharpe and his Riflemen. I figured I would share it as I was not too familiar with them when I received this box set. Here he is the first time that he meets his squad.

Now, lets take a closer look at these miniatures starting with a video review. Don’t worry, there is a written review and a scale comparison image below too.

Review – 28mm British Riflemen by Wargames Atlantic

Below is my video review of these great miniatures. If the embedded video below does not work, you can use this link here too.

If there is any question as to whether there is an intentional likeness of the models between this box set and Sharpe, I encourage you to take a look at the back of the box.

Just like Sharpe’s Squad, these are the chosen men. Yes, they are historic too, but there is also a volley gun in this box that is not something that would have been practical on the battlefield because of its recoil, but was used by one of the main characters in Sharpe.

Inside, you get 8 sprues with enough miniatures to make 32 figures. That makes these 28mm miniatures extremely affordable. If you want to know what they should cost, check the manufactures price here.

In the picture below, I share with you what comes on the sprue.

With these parts, you can make plenty of really characterful miniatures. Below are just a couple of samples.

In the interest of speed, I did up a sample set of four figures. They were extremely easy and fast to construct.

Now, let me show you how the rank up against other minaitures. Here they are with a GW Chaos Cultist on the left and a Primaris Space Marine on the right. The tall figures with the guns in the air are Wargames Atlantic’s Prussian Reserve Miniatures. I reviewed those over here.

Wrapping it up…

Overall, these are some excellent miniatures. If you want to create Sharpe’s Rifles in 28mm, want a few Silver Bayonet Warbands, or just want to get into 28mm Napoleonic games, give these miniatures a look. They are extremely affordable, fast to build and look great too.

If you want to know more about these figures, I encourage you to watch that video I shared earlier, or to come on over to my personal site to check out the much longer written review of Wargames Atlantic’s British Riflemen. While you are at it, check out Wargames Atlantic too. They make fantastic miniatures at very fair prices.
