Soul Calibur is a video game full of the fiercest warriors with the deepest of motivations, locked in a battle to the death. Through multiple iterations on a myriad of platforms, the Soul Calibur games have continued to be a staple in the fighting game genre. Though there are many fearsome battles of note, today we are witnessing the Ivy vs Taki cosplay battle!
Taki, known as the Hunter of Darkness, originated in the Soul Blade game, continuing on into the Soul Calibur storylines. She has Honor in her soul, and has been a beacon of light to stave off the darkest of hearts. Ivy Valentine is one of the most recognizable and longstanding characters of the series, originating in Soul Calibur. Her iconic sword whip and wicked curves partnered with her sultry voice and signature pixie cut hair make her an unforgettable character. The two are darkness and light, and it is easy to see why this battle is one for the storybooks.
One is light, one is dark, and together they are a deadly combination of opposites. Cosplayers BelleChere and MissSinisterCosplay met at DragonCon and were photographed by Eurobeat Kasumi. The resulting images are a cheeky (pun intended) depiction of the characters iconic fighting styles.
