MTG: 40K Spoilers Reveal Abaddon, Blood For The Blood God, And More
Magic the Gathering and Warhammer 40K are crossing over like the Jetsons meeting the Flintstones. Here’s a look at some of the cards!
Here at Bell of Lost Souls we believe crossover events are pretty great. So when the deck-building of Magic: the Gathering crashes headlong into the list-building of Warhammer 40K, there’s a lot to get hyped about. Especially since now you’ll be able to sink your teeth into cards like Abaddon the Despoiler. Did you get your 40K into your Magic, or your Magic into your 40K? Either way, check out some of the cards.
40K/Magic Crossover Spoilers
Let’s start with everyone’s favorite big bad uncle, Abaddon the Despoiler. He’s taking a break from Black Crusades to bring you both the Astartes Warrior and creature type, and a mechanic that will bring Cascade to your spells the more damage you do.
Speaking of Astartes, though, let’s look at the Vanguard Suppressor. The new Squad mechanic is probably my favorite mechanic of the new set. Drop a Vanguard Suppressor on the board, and then bring in a whole squad with you. A token effort, for sure, but well worth it.
How about Fabricate? Get an Artifact when you need it. Pretty straightforward. Although, perhaps the most exciting new card is for the Ruinous Powers.
Blood for the Bloodborne proves its allegiance to Khorne. Play this after a board wipe (yours or the enemy’s, because it’s instant speed) and not only do you punish your enemy just a little, but you also get to refresh your hand.
All this in the upcoming Universes Beyond secret lair
