New ‘Daredevil’ Show Reportedly in the Works at Disney+
It’s been rumored since Matt Murdoch showed up in No Way Home that a Daredevil show was on the way. Looks like they’re not rumors anymore.
According to Variety…
“A new ‘Daredevil’ series is moving forward at Disney+, with Variety having exclusively learned from sources that Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce… It now appears that the project is picking up steam with the hiring… although Marvel has yet to announce anything regarding the show formally.”
The two have solid résumés that make them a good fit for a Daredevil show. Corman and Ord co-created Covert Affairs for USA Network, which aired for five seasons. Most recently they worked on NBC’s The Brave and The Enemy Within along with Containment for the CW.
The news outlet hasn’t gotten comment from the parties involved. Variety‘s sources tend to be trustworthy and reliable, though.
I, for one, am pretty dang excited for Daredevil to come back to the small screen. Given the direction they’re taking with She-Hulk, I would not be surprised if we got a court house cameo. Murdoch has been one of the the superhero lawyers of choice in the comics for a while now. He’s represented the Fantastic Four, Eddie Brock, the Hulk, Black Widow, and even Captain America.
While we wait for more solid news, you can watch all three existing seasons on Disney+. The show was the first of Netflix’s Marvel Knights shows and is generally seen as its best. Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, cleans up the streets of Hell’s Kitchen at night while practicing law by day. The show has fantastic writing and some great performances, including its stunt cast.
