The trailer for The Bad Batch season two dropped at Star Wars Celebration, and it looks like Clone Force 99 Omega have work to do.

With its first season released on Star Wars day, May the 4th 2021, The Bad Batch gave us another look at Clone Force 99. The first season had a lot of promise, gave us some great revelations, and let us look at the first days of The Empire from a new angle, but it’s undeniable that there were a few rough patches around the edges. Still, we were excited to see that The Bad Batch would be returning for a second season and hopefully telling us more about the clones, and especially Omega.

At Star Wars Celebration this weekend in Anaheim, CA, the trailer for The Bad Batch season two just dropped. And we’re more excited than ever to get back to our favorite oddball clones.

The Bad Batch Season Two Trailer

Whoever is editing these trailers for Celebration is doing a great job because these have been great so far.

The Empire is ramping up, Palpatine has fully assumed power, and Clone Force 99 has to chose between retiring into a quiet life of anonymity or going full Clone Force 99. And it looks like they’ll chose freedom every time. This is an exciting trailer full of action, explosions, and fun little details worth pausing for.

Omega seems to be taking her role as a full fledge clone sibling very seriously, now donning some extra armor and fully learning to use her bow. And it seems they’ll have an unlikely new ally in the form of the young Wookie padawan from The Clone Wars. We’re excited to see that he didn’t fall to Order 66. It’s worth remember how quickly all of season one happened, so it’s likely it’s only been a few weeks or months and he, and the Bad Batch are probably very much actively on the run.

The Bad Batch Cast & Details

Dee Bradley Baker returns as all of the clones in The Bad Batch with Michelle Ang as Omega.

Clone Troop 99 or the Bad Batch are a group of experimentally enhanced or clones with “desirable mutations” that make them one of the most effective special ops teams in the entire Galaxy. They are named for Clone 99 who was also seen as being defective or damaged and acted as a janitor on Kamino despite his great wisdom and bravery. The Bad Batch boast a 100% success rate in missions as well as skills and abilities that other clones simply do not have, but they’re not without their quirks.

Omega, we learned in season one, is another genetically enhanced clone of Jango Fett and was created as a pure genetic clone to the original. What this means to the Empire and to the Bad Batch, we hope to see in season two.

Did you watch season one of The Bad Batch? Are you Excited for season two? Who else do you hope makes an appearance? Let us know in the comments!
