‘The Boys’ Spin-Off New Cast – Welcome to Supes College
The live-action The Boys spin-off series will follow a group of young Supes at a Vought International run college.
It was announced last year that The Boys is getting a live-action spin-off series about college-age Supes. After some casting changes and a showrunner swap, it’s under production now. Eric Kripke (creator of the core series) is still on as executive producer.
So far the cast includes Patrick Schwarzenegger as Golden Boy and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity. The rest of the cast haven’t been linked to characters. Those folks include Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, and Maddie Phillips. Plus London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Shelley Conn.
What to Expect From the The Boys Spin-Off
The show takes place at college that’s exclusively for young superheroes, which is to say it’s all run by Vought. We’ll follow along as a group of competitive Supes try to land the best contracts in the best cities. It’ll be a college show meets The Hunger Games that’s as raunchy and R-rated as the main series. The school was given a spotlight on Vought News, so we know the name of of the school even though the series doesn’t have a name just yet.
While the story in this is going to be original, there’s some basis for this in Ennis’s comic book series. Vought uses the Young Americans and Teenage Kix groups to train its superheroes and find possible members of the Seven. Starlight initially came from the Young Americans, which is the more conservative and traditional appearing of the two. The group is led by Drummer Boy and includes Holy Mary, General Issue, and The Standard. A-Train came from Teenage Kix.
We’ll have to wait and see which Supes in the comics they bring over to the screen.

Don’t expect a cookie cutter of the original. This show will have its own twist according to Kripke:

Also, Baywatch Nights spun-off from Baywatch, and it had vampires. Vampires!”
