Warhammer 40K: 5 Astra Militarum Heroes We Hope Get A Major Glow-up
We don’t know when the Astra Militarum codex will be released but we sure hope these 5 characters show up with a major glow-up!
Games Workshop is an amazing model company. They have some of the best kits around and this editions models have been top notch! Many heroes of yore have gotten redone with fancy new models and we sure hope that the Astra Militarum get the same treatment. Here’s a few heroes we hope get a major Glow-up in the next book.
Commissar Yarrick
How is Yarrick not dead yet? Oh right, cause he’s freakin’ Commissar Yarrick! He’s currently got a resin mini and a 180 day wait if you want to order one from GW. Oof. I hope that gets changed soon. Preferably with a brand new plastic kit!
Colonel ‘Iron Hand’ Straken
Ol’ Iron Hand doesn’t have the worst model. But man, oh, man we’d love to see what GW could do with a plastic version. They’d probably have him on a more scenic base — probably with a rock and/or skulls. Maybe less robo-nipple, too. We’ll have to wait and see but we want a new Straken model!
Knight Commander Pask
OMG, someone call in the medic! Pask doesn’t have legs!!!! Okay, we’re kidding. He’s not supposed to because he’s a tank commander and you model him standing in the turret hatch. We get it. But uh…could he maybe have more than 2 fingers? Also, why not change up his rules/models so that you have to buy him for a specific tank? Just asking for a friend.
All The Catachans
You have seen these models, right? And you’ve seen the OTHER new Catachans, right?!
I mean…if GW can do THAT with the newer models then just imagine what a full blown Catachan rework/release could do for the line. It would be AMAZING and you know it. Make it happen GW.
Leman Russ, The Battle Tank
I’m just going to say it: “The Leman Russ needs a rework.” I get it. It’s a venerable old reliable Main Battle Tank. It’s got tons of options. The kit is still serviceable. And it’s not even a “character” per se. But, c’mon. Are you telling me you DON’T want to see a better Leman Russ kit? I dig the old WWII tank design and all but I’d honestly love to also see a new, more modern version. Just tossing that out there.
So they weren’t all characters but we’d still love these Astra Militarum Kits to get a new version. What kits would you like to see updated? There’s LOTS to choose from…
