There’s a new Chaos Knight Army box coming to pre-order very soon and now we’ve got the pricing as well as the complete contents. Let’s run the numbers and see how this one stacks up.
Chaos Knight Army Box
Knight Abominant $170 (based on current Knight Kits)
2 x War Dogs $80 (based on Armiger Kits)
Special Edition Codex $90 (based on Special Edition Codex Pricing)
Datacards $29 (based on Datacard Pack Pricing)
Transfer Sheets (typically free in kit but can cost up to $23 extra per sheet — we’re not including this in the total)
Total Individual MSRP: $369
Retail Price: $265
Total Savings: $104
That’s actually not a bad deal at all! Even if you didn’t want to get the Special Edition codex and counted it as a standard version at $55 that’s still a savings of $69. You’re almost getting a “free” pack of War Dogs at that cost. Also consider the fact that this box is going to be the first place to get your hands on the Chaos Knight codex AND the first place to get you hands on the Knight Abominant, too. It’s certainly not a bad launching point for these Heretic Knight Houses!
So if you’re looking to jumpstart a Chaos Knight Army the savings in this Army Box sure seem like a perfect place to start. You’ll get a Knight as well as two War Dogs, the codex, and Datacards. If it had dice in there then you’d only need a measuring device! At that price it’s a deal. It’s also not going to be around forever so if you want it you might want to be prepared to pre-order it from GW or your FLGS.
