Age of Sigmar: ‘Arcane Cataclysm’ Points Breakdown
There’s a new Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Battlebox on the way and we’ve got the contents list and points. So how’s this all going to breakdown?
Games Workshop announced another Battlebox for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. That’s a pretty good indication of what’s coming next for Battletomes, too. They’ve also covered what’s in the box and with the free points update, we can easily calculate what these two forces will work out to points-wise. So how do they stack up? Let’s find out!
Arcane Cataclysm Points Breakdown
Lumineth Realm-lords
Scinari Enlightener – 160
Vanari Dawnriders (5) – 140
Vanari Bladelords (5) – 130
Vanari Auralan Sentinels (10)- 170
Points Total: 600
Clocking in at 600 points this is looking like a good core of Lumineth Realm-lords to start with. Although, you’re going to need to pick-up some Vanari Auralan Wardens if you want more Battleline options to work from.
Disciples of Tzeentch
The Curseling, Eye of Tzeentch – 180
Tzaangor Enlightened – 95
Kairic Acolytes (20) – 240
Tzaangors (10) – 175
Points Total: 690
This DoT force is a bit more well rounded in terms of being a core to build from. Plus it’s getting 90 more points worth of “stuff” to work with. With the two bricks of Battleline units, a Leader, and the Tzaangor Enlightened, you’ve got plenty of space to grow. Plus the Curseling (at least currently) is decent in combat and magic. Then again, this is probably why these two forces are perfect to face off as spells will be slung by lots of things on the tabletop!
If you want to start building out some additional forces you can always check out the points yourself and start putting together a basic list. Just remember those list building restrictions and check out the new General’s Handbook 2022-23 for how the season has changed. That can really impact your list building!
Also keep in mind that when this box drops we’re expecting to see their respective Battletomes to follow closely behind. While we wouldn’t expect much in the way of points changes those units may have some rules shift around post-battletome release…
