Bioware & Netflix Team Up for ‘Dragon Age: Absolution’ Series
Dragon Age: Absolution will take fans into Tevinter for a new saga with new heroes.
The decade’s old video game is getting another animated adaptation, this time with Netflix. They’re keeping the details close to the vest. What we do know is that it will take place in the Tevinter Imperium, the oldest extant human nation in Thedas. The Tevinter Imperium has a long history in the games, but its power and holdings has waned over the ages. In modern day it’s ruled by a magocracy, and its society is decadent and has some unsavory practices. There are a lot of possibilities and plots to explore.
Dragon Age: Absolution will feature an ensemble of new characters that are authentic to Dragon Age lore. This will include elves, mages, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons, and some surprises. It’s worth noting that the upcoming Dragon Age: Dreadwolf shares its setting with the new animated series, so there may be some crossover.

This isn’t the only video game adaptation coming to Netflix in the near future. You can check out the rest of what was revealed during Geeked Week here.
