Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘It’s The Smoke That Kills’
The Rumor Engine is back with a new image to tease us with. And this one is sending up some smoke signals.
Welcome to Tuesday! It’s that day of the week when Games Workshop spins up the Rumor Engine and it sends out a new image to taunt us with. Today, we’ve got a pretty clear idea of what we’re looking at — but that doesn’t mean we know all the details. Check it out for yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
“Most gracious and all-knowing Rumour Engine, won’t you see fit to bestow a complete and comprehensible image upon us, your most humble servants?”
It’s the smoke that kills. You can tell because it’s got a skull on the canister. Then again, this is (likely) from the Grimdark Warhammer 40,000 universe so skulls on things is kind of their shtick. But what can we tell about this image?
Well, for starters, that hand looks humanoid and not alien or robotic. Based on the fact that it’s tossing a smoke grenade, I’d also say that it’s highly likely this is a member of the Imperium or Imperium Adjacent.
Reivers are known to toss smoke grenades of a sort.
One other thing to note about this hand is that it doesn’t appear to be in armor. That leads me to believe we might be looking at a member of the Astra Militarum. Considering we have new Cadians on the way this seems likely.
However, I don’t think this is from a Cadian unit. I think this could be from one of the other Astra Militarum planets…
Those Catachans sure could use a revamp and it wouldn’t be surprising if they ALSO got some updates in the future.
They have been getting some cool one-off character models afterall…
