MTG: Double Masters Spoilers
A new Magic set rolls out from WotC, and the cards are coming 2×2. That’s right, it’s time for Double Masters Spoilers.
Magic is in the air. And also on your tabletop. And a brand new set, the upcoming Double Masters, is not far off. So I guess that means Magic is at your FLGS too. Which it’s always been, it is Magic: the Gathering after all. But today’s batch of Double Masters spoilers mean some bold new fun for Magic. Find out what cards will absolutely be your new best friend/worst enemy depending on where you end up.
Magic the Gathering – Double Masters Spoilers
Let’s start with a showstopper shall we. And thankfully Force of Negation stays Rare in this gorgeous new reprint. This is going to be absolutely delicious. Exile a blue card, counter a spell and keep it out of the graveyard. Also check out the Prismari theme on full display here, setting the bar high for the Double Masters Spoilers.
And this borderless Smothering Tithe. Which if you look closely under the text box, you’ll note the human face smothered under all that gold, complete with coins over the eyes. It’s a shame this card is literally unplayable because the rings on the fingers aren’t in WUBRG order.
Let’s keep the borderless train rolling with this gorgeous Elenda, the Dusk Rose. Of all the Double Masters Spoilers, this one would be my favorite if it weren’t for the next one. After all, you’ve got a vampire knight with lifelink. She gets bigger with every creature that dies. And when she dies she becomes many vampires.
But there is a next one.
I mean just look at this. First new Paolo Parente art in quite a while. And that Wyvern getting turbo-lasered is so evocative. On top of that, it’s good, cheap removal.
Less exciting, but still very fun is the Shadowborn Apostle. And since you can have as many of them as you want, all you need is something with Ripple and you can overwhelm your enemy with 1/1s.
Last in this batch of Double Masters spoilers is this beautiful Guided Passage. It’s great because you can intimidate your opponent with what you have. Or at least buy some time for you to take a few bites of your sandwich while your opponent tries to figure out how to ruin your day with cards.
All this in Double Masters!
