Warhammer 40K: Free Points Update Now Live
We knew this was coming for the next season of Warhammer 40,000. It’s the free points update for Chapter Approved.
Games Workshop has released the new seasonal points update to coincide with Warhammer: 40,000’s latest Chapter Approved update. It’s time to see what’s gone up or down in points with the free Munitorum Field Manual Mk II.

As you can see from the table of contents it’s impacting every army in Warhammer 40,000. This is a must download and read for any players of the game — doubly so for any Matched Play or Players heading to a Tournament.
The pack itself is pretty easy to follow and we encourage you to check your armies new point values as these are now the official points for those respective armies. All of these changes can be found at the link above or in the Warhammer App. And for those folks who prefer a physical copy you’re also in luck
“Don’t worry if you still prefer having a physical copy around to flick through – there will be a printed edition of the Munitorum Field Manual 2022 MkII included inside White Dwarf 479.”
We don’t have a complete list as we’re still sorting through the points ourselves. However, GW did have this to say about the changes:
“Several of the movers and shakers from the last six months of Warhammer 40,000 play have had their points adjusted as part of an ongoing fine-tuning process. As we’re on the cusp of a new season – with refined secondary objectives and Command point rules – these updates promise a fascinating new landscape of list-building.”
When taken in context of the changes in Chapter Approved: War Zone Nephilim this will absolutely change up your list building. Between the points shifts and the rework to C0mmand Points armies are going to have to adjust for the new season. It’s going to be very interesting to see how all the various armies shake out post-Chapter Approved.
