Warhammer 40K: White Dwarf 477 – World Eaters Rules Coming Soon
Games Workshop is dropping a PSA for World Eaters players out there — pick up White Dwarf 477 for your new rules!
Back when GW announced a new Chaos Codex was on the way they also dropped a hint that the World Eaters would be absent from the main book. Why? Because they would be getting a new treatment very soon.
Well…that time is coming thanks to White Dwarf 477! Keep in mind that this release is supposed to keep World Eaters up-to-date post Codex: Chaos Space Marines launch. So that also means the Chaos Space Marine Codex is probably coming soon, too.
Eventually, we’re slated to see updates to the Khorne Berzerker models as well as a full codex. I’m wager that this would be very much like the Death Guard and Thousand Sons releases. GW also teased even more new surprises in terms of models for the army as well. But in the meantime White Dwarf 477 will have to hold us over.
“This month, a fog of fury descends upon the pages of White Dwarf as the World Eaters stake their claim on issue 477. Unlike the many warbands that make up the Chaos Space Marines, the World Eaters are an original Legion, led by the biggest, reddest, and meanest Primarch of all – Angron.”
World Eaters In White Dwarf
The Index Hereticus: World Eaters is going to contain all the goodies you’d expect. For starters, we’re getting 8 pages of lore, 6 page of rules, a short story featuring Khârn the Betrayer, and a bunch of painting tips. Digging a little deeper into the rules, we’re a collection of sorts. Some of the rules are from War Zone Charadon Act II: The Book of Fire. Other parts of the rules are new and this will be the “definitive source” — for now.
These updates will include changes to the Butcher’s Nails Legion rules so that it will function with the upcoming Chaos Space Marine Codex. Furthermore, we’re set to receive the following:
- 6 Warlord Traits
- 6 Relics
- 8 Stratagems
- Updated Khârn the Betrayer Datasheet
- Updated Khorne Berzerker Datasheet
This should be plenty of goodness to keep the Khornate Bloodlust flowing until the World Eaters get the full, proper release. Then I’m sure we’re all going to be swimming in tides of gore. Which, after typing that, sounds pretty gross when you think about it. ANYHOW, it’s about to be “Blood For The Blood God” o’clock for White Dwarf 477!
GW might want to rename it to Red Dwarf for Issue 477…
