The final season of Picard brings back Geordi La Forge, Worf, and other The Next Generation favorites. Check out their new looks!

The first two seasons of Picard have brought back several familiar faces from the beloved show. Brent Spiner has appeared in several episodes as Data, as well as Marina Sirtis’ Deanna Troi, Whoopi Goldberg’s Guinan, and Jonathan Del Arco’s Hugh. John de Lancie’s Q and Annie Wersching’s The Borg Queen are both integral parts of season two‘s plot.

The final season of the show will bring back the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation cast. Our first look comes from this SDCC teaser.

Everyone has gotten older – and wiser.

The cast of Star Trek: Picard’s final season, including Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker), Michael Dorn (Worf), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), Jonathan Frakes (William Riker), and Gates McFadden (Beverly Crusher).

Picard – The Final Season

The trailer came during a panel with the cast and creators of the show. Showrunner Alex Kurtzman mentioned during the panel that getting the crew back together like this – in a way that’s earned – was Patrick Stewart’s suggestion.

“We didn’t want to have cameos, but serious roles. At the beginning of the season, the crew is in different places around the galaxy. Slowly we see them come together.”

Stewart shared his thoughts on the show.

“I realized that I was beginning to experience Jean-Luc Picard, to a point where I didn’t know where he began and Patrick Stewart left off. I was sold because the emphasis was on, ‘Who is Picard?’ Because we don’t know,” he said. “As far as season 3 is concerned, he’s having to acknowledge that there was an incident in his youth that had shaken him so profoundly.”

They’re still holding the story of the season close to the vest. It was revealed the villain is female and the writers’ room took great inspiration from Kahn. The final season was filmed back-to-back with Season 2 and is set to launch on Paramount+ next year. There will be ten episodes.
