Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘Mace For The Face’
Someone is wielding a mace in the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. What model is this?
This new Rumor Engine is showing off someone’s mace-skills. I’m not sure what’s going on but you should take a look for yourself before we go any further.
“The time has almost come, the Rumour Engine is swirling with more energy than ever before, and we’re only a few moments away from whatever grand design it has in store. Before the Dark Powers usher us into a new and brighter future, we have just one more vision of a forthcoming release to prepare us for the greatness that awaits!”
So what do we have here? Clearly this is a mace. If it was attached to a chain it would be a flail. And the spikes aren’t large enough for this to be considered a morningstar. And what’s up with that hand position? Are they doing some fancy pose with their mace?
The hands also tell us this person is humanoid. So we can cross out any Orks, Orruks, Goblins, Grots, or Daemons. And the wrist-wrap also has an interesting look. It appears to have leather straps with buckles on it.

It’s not a lot to go on. And honestly it could be something from either Warhammer 40,000 or Age of Sigmar — I wouldn’t rule out either at this point. Is The Rumor Engine Alright?
One more aside about the Rumor Engine. The last few weeks we’ve had a meta-plot going on about something happening with the Rumor Engine. If you’ve been reading the text included with the Rumor Engine posts, it seems that something BIG is coming. What that is seems “Dark Powers” related. I guessing next week is going to be quite interesting from the Rumor Engine.
