‘The Boys’ College Spin-Off – ‘Gen V’ is Taking Over
The first live-action The Boys spinoff is in production and it finally has a name that takes aim at Gen Z.
It was announced last year that The Boys is getting a live-action spin-off series about college-age Supes. After some casting changes and a showrunner swap, it’s under production now. Eric Kripke (creator of the core series) is still on as executive producer. We don’t have a release date or timeline, but now the show has a name.

What We Know About The Boys spinoff – Gen V
We got a look at what young supes do to get into The Seven and other supe teams during Season 3. I’m sure there will be more scripted “reality” TV and backstabbing in Gen V. The official synopsis…
Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games—with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.
Don’t expect a cookie cutter of the original. This show will have its own twist according to Kripke:
“Much like Mork & Mindy spun-off from Happy Days—which is an insane and true fact—our spinoff will exist in the Vought Cinematic Universe, yet have a tone and style all its own. It’s our take on a college show, with an ensemble of fascinating, complicated, and sometimes deadly Young Supes. Michele and Tara are stone-cold geniuses. We love this show and can’t wait for you to see it.”
The new generation of supes includes Patrick Schwarzenegger as Golden Boy and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity. The rest of the cast hasn’t been linked to characters. Those folks include Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, and Maddie Phillips. Plus London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Shelley Conn.
No word on if we’ll see any of the main cast make guest appearances. I’m sure these upstarts will be watching them religiously on Vought News Network.
