From the Brotherhood of Mutants to the X-Men, these Rogue cosplays hold all the cards!
The X-Men was the first comic I ever got to read as a kid. I was immediately drawn to the strong, beautiful lady-mutants, with their amazing hair and penchant for quips while saving the world. Jubilee, Jean Grey and Rogue were the first three comic characters I fell in love with, and today we’re diving into these powerful Rogue cosplays!
Rogue is one of the most easily recognizable characters in the Marvel universe. With her iconic stripe of white hair and her gorgeous southern drawl, Rogue is a character who runs the full gamut of experiences. She experiences love, loss, displacement, anger and a whole boatload of ass-kicking. She has one of the most powerful and well-loved relationships in comic history, as well. Her love affair with Gambit is the stuff of comic legends. On top of all that, Rogue is known for some pretty epic lines.
Rogue has had many looks over the years. From comic pages to the animated shows, to Anna Paquin’s on-screen performance… She is always a central figure in the goings-on of the X-Men. She has had many allegiances over the years, starting with Mystique and the Brotherhood of Mutants. It wasn’t until a long time later that she finally found her way to the X-Men.
Cosplaying Rogue
Cosplaying Rogue requires a love of bold colors and sharp lines. Her iconic hairdo is her signature feature obviously, which requires a good hand with a curling iron, but she’s best with a wind swept, careless curl. Her colors are traditionally green and yellow, though the look has evolved over the years. This week we’re focusing on the classic comic jumpsuit, showcasing a few different cosplayers who have brought Rogue to life. We hope you enjoy these Rogue cosplays!

“That’s why we do it, Joseph. For the innocents, the ones who ain’t been taught t’ hate yet. Our hope for tomorrow. Change is gonna come…“
“Time was that mighta killed me… but that time’s done an’gone, now that ah absorbed your healin’ ability inta me… an’all your delicious mem’ries! You never told us you had a son, Wolvy! Ah wonder what his touch is like. Does good taste run in the family? Like father, like cub?“
“We’re up against someone new here, people – jus’ like their name implies – an’ definitely hostile. An enemy who also may be way better than us. This rounds is theirs. Y’all got my word, ‘Celia, next time’ll be different. When we come back…it’ll be t’win!“
