Warcry: Horns of Hashut Rules Preview
The Horns of Hashut are coming to Warcry very soon and today we’re getting a closer look at their rules. Time to burn the Gnarlwood!
Yesterday we got a closer look at the Rotmire Creed’s rules. Today, were getting a preview of the other side of the upcoming Heart of Ghur boxed set. The Horns of Hashut are on the way and they are looking to bring the heat to their enemies.
Horns of Hashut Rules Preview
“The Horns of Hashut have a faction-specific Reaction that should keep enemy fighters at arm’s length – Breath of Cinder and Smoke.”
Getting close to the Horns of Hashut can leave the enemy choking from Cinder and Smoke. In this case, it comes in the form of 3 damage points and a -1 to the Strength of melee attacks. You do have to roll over their toughness but that’s a chance Horns of Hashut players will be happy to take for the trade off. This can really blunt a charge from an enemy fighter! Reactions really will be a game changer.
Naturally, the Horns of Hashut also have a wide array of faction-specific abilities to match their theme. Engulfing Flames of Dark Artifice is another one of those abilities. It’s a good way to punish the enemy if they try to group up. The base damage is solid and the extra splash damage if noteworthy. If you can catch a pack of fighters with this they are going to have a bad day!
Here’s a look a the Demolisher armed with a Flamehurler. This fighter is perfect for following up that Engulfing Flames of Dark Artifice attack with even more fire and smoke. But they aren’t the only ones packing the heat, so to speak. The warband leader, known as a Ruinator, also has some nasty wargear. Ash Bombs will choke out an enemy as their last embers of hope begin to fade…
The Horns of Hashut are leaning heavily into the fire and smoke motif. Along with that they are also packing a few ways to weaken the enemy. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of their rules and how that will all work together.
The Heart of Ghur box is coming soon along with both the Rotmire Creed and the Horns of Hashut!
