Warhammer 40K: Leagues of Votann ‘Exo-Armour’ Revealed
We all were hoping that the Leagues of Votann would get a re-imagined version of Exo-Armour. Well guess what showed up!
One of the units that made Squats iconic was their Trikes. We got a refresh of that unit with their new Trike — The Hernkyn Pioneer:
However, another iconic unit is their famous Exo-armoured wearing units. And guess what the Leagues of Votann are getting to show off today!
Leagues of Votann Exo-Armour Returns
“Selected from the most accomplished fighters in a Kinhold, the Einhyr Hearthguard have many roles – from bodyguards to deadly first-strike troops. Each Hearthguard has proved themselves over many years of front-line combat, ascending purely by the virtue of their deeds, just as the staunch meritocracy of the Leagues requires.”
Wearing massive armor with inch-thick battle plating these warriors are not to be trifled with. They boast an impressive array of weaponry including shoulder-mounted grenade-launchers, firearms, and melee weapons.
“They aren’t all take and no give, either. Each Einhyr is equipped with a Volkanite Disintegrator and a shoulder-mounted grenade launcher, laying down a solid curtain of fire as they advance. Once the Einhyr Hearthguard join the melee, they’re just as formidable, lashing out with devastating concussion gauntlets. “
Those blades aren’t just for show either. Those are Plasma Blades which are very capable of carving up the competition. I’m excited to see what these Exo-Armours can do rules-wise. Unfortunately we’re going to have to wait longer before we learn about that aspect of the Einhyr Hearthguard. For now, we’ll just have to settle for marveling at these fancy Exo-Armours!
