We started to lose track of the League of Votann reveals so we decided to stick them all in one place.

Games Workshop has been teasing the Leagues of Votann models and showing them off basically since April. We’re almost in August now and honestly, we were forgetting what has been teased/revealed so far — especially with all the new names the units have. So we figured we’d create a list of the ones that have been revealed with links back to the original reveal articles if you wanted to check them out.

This list is just what’s been shown of so far — we know GW has more planned and we’ve toss out some suggestions of what we hope to see, too. So let’s get started!

Leagues of Votann Units

Leagues of Votann – Hearthkyn

The Hearthkyn and Ironkin — these are the basic foot soldiers of the Leagues of Votann. The Hearthkyn are actually clones. Or mostly clones. The Ironkin are functionally advanced AI that are treated as equal partners in the Leagues of Votann. Clones or Metal, Kin are Kin!

Leagues of Votann – Hernkyn Pioneer

The re-imagined Trike of the Leages of Votann, remember the name Hernkyn Pioneer. I have a funny feeling we’re going to be seeing more of these types of things in the future from the Leagues.

Leagues of Votann – Exo-Armours – Einhyr Hearthguard

The Einhyr Hearthguard are the name of the Exo-Armoured unit. These heavily armoured members of the League are stout and tough looking. Plus, they are packing some serious firepower with shoulder mounted weapons, built in weapon stabilizers to fire on the move, and some serious close combat punch! I can’t wait to get my hands on the rules for this unit.

Leagues of Votann – Sagitaur ATV

This is the Sagitaur ATV. It’s both a weapons platform and a troop transport. I’m also curious about the ATV part. Does that stand for “All Terrain Vehicle” or “Armored Transport Vehicle” or maybe even “Armored Troop Vehicle” — I’m leaning towards the first one because that’s typically what ATV means. APC would be the term of an “Armored Personnel Carrier” but at this point we’re just splitting hairs.

The Sagitaur is both a weapons platform and a troop transport. It’s going to pack some solid firepower and a troop payload that can deploy. In fact, it’s apparently going to work best in a pair with the two vehicles carrying a split-load of troops that can deploy as a unit. If you’re confused by that sentence, don’t worry, you’re not alone. We’re actually VERY curious to see how a squad is going to get to split and deploy from two of these ATVs and really want to get our hands on the rules.

So far, that’s all we know about the Leagues of Votann’s units. Games Workshop has straight-up said there’s more in the “garage” for the Leagues of Votann. From a very broad view we’re still looking for things like a Flyer, a Lord of War, a dreadnought-type, a pure tank, and HQ options. But really the options are wide open because this is a brand new army. GW can go nuts with this release and we’re kind of hoping that they do…

I’m saving this page for future reference…
