Warhammer 40K: Who Is The Best Bloodthirster
We’ve got a wide selection of Bloodthirsters these days but which model is the best? Time to stack them up!
Khorne really loves a good fight and he also is a big fan of throwing out super beefy red angry monsters at folks. Today we’re looking at the various Bloodthirsters and we’re going to attempt to figure who’s got the best look. It’s going to be a tough one…
So Many Bloodthirsters
To start things off, we’ve got the three “basic” Bloodthirsters. These bad boys are all built from the same kit but pack different levels of punch.
Do you want your Axes in the one or two-handed variety? Perhaps a hammer on a chain?
Or would you rather have a whip with spikes and an axe? You get to make the call with this kit.
To be fair this is a really great kit and you DO have lots of options for your Bloodthirster. Nothing wrong with these guys.
Next up, we can’t forget the classic character Skarbrand! The “Fallen” Bloodthirster with wings that were shredded by Khorne himself. This Beast is fueled by pure rage and has slain countless souls.
Lore-wise he’s even taken on entire realms of chaos. He destroyed the First Palace of Slaanesh and even killed Nurgle’s great poxviathan. It was only through Tzeentch’s taunting and scheming that he was laid low by Khorne himself! But being a daemon they never stay down.
Model-wise this mangled Bloodthirster is still really impressive! He’s a force to be reckoned with on the tabletop for sure.
With a new Horus Heresy Character Model on the way Ka’Bandha is getting a rework! This model has massive wings and is one of the largest of the series so far.
He’s a big, chonky block of resin and pain. We know he’s got rules for The Horus Heresy. Now we’re just waiting to see if he gets an update for 40k because you know he’s going to. Time to add him to the Bloodthirster stockpile of WWMMDs – Warpfueled Weaponized Monsters of Mass Destruction!
Angron
Does Angron count? We think so! He’s a Chaos Daemon Prince Primarch but he shares a LOT of similarities to Bloodthirsters. Between the wings, the axe, the blood-red skin, and terrifying snarl, we are counting him among the Bloodiest of Bloodthirsters. It’s probably highly unlikely we’re going to get a formation, unit, or an army that contains all the Bloodthirsters together but that would be a terrifying sight to behold.
I wonder who would lead that charge! And Emperor Protect whoever is getting in the way of that Red-death tidal wave.
The Best Bloodthirster Is…
Of all these models, which one is the best? I’m biased as a World Eaters fan. So you know where my vote is going. But, if Angron isn’t part of the equation, I’d personally go with Skarbrand. Sorry Ka’Bandha, you are EPIC but Skarbrand has some crazy lore and a unique model.
