Crossover Event: Horror Movies That Deserve a GOOD Sequel/Prequel
Not every movie needs or deserves a sequel of prequel, but we think these horror movies need more screen time and stories.
Horror movies have a bad habit of making endlessly bad sequels, or not exploring their universe enough! Today on Crossover Event, the crew brainstorm some horror movie sequels that they’d love to see hit the big screen. Join Chris, Martin, and Danni…
My Horror Movie Sequel Picks
We Are Still Here
A house in New England is hungry for souls. While it sounds meh, the movie is clever, has interesting twists, and has great performances. There’s so much room here for a sequel and I’d love to see more of the smart horror.
Let the Right One In
Eli and Oskar’s journey doesn’t end here. There are challenges ahead for the pair that I’m interested in seeing. We’ve gotten a remake and now a series, but never an extension of the original characters’ story. Taking care of a vampire as a pre-teen until being replaced is a compelling story we only see the tail end of with Hakan.
Pontypool
This nail biter is set in a Canadian radio station while a zombie outbreak rages outside. The staff has little information to go on and most of the action takes place in the recording booth with shock jock Grant Mazzy narrating the horror and taking calls from outside. I think it would be interesting to follow one of the callers in a sequel. Get another view of the situation from a listener.
