Jeffrey Dean Morgan is Finally Joining ‘The Boys’ Cast
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a shoe in for The Boys in so many ways, what’s surprising is that this hasn’t happened sooner.
Producer Eric Kripke has been trying to get the actor on board for the last two years, after Morgan gave him a shout out after the season 1 finale. The two have been friends since they worked on Supernatural together. Jensen Ackles (also a Supernatural alumni) had been talking to Morgan ahead of last season. The interest was there, but timing was bad for a season 2 or 3 cameo.
Ackles told EW:
“I know that there were some preliminary conversations of how and what and when and why that just didn’t work out with Jeff’s schedule. He’s a busy man, and everybody wants him to come on their show.”
Well…. schedules have finally lined up to allow the actor to jump on board for an episode. Confirmed my Kripke on twitter…

No word on if he’ll be a supe or what side he’ll be on. I’m just glad he’s finally joining the show. His Comedian from that other examination of superheroes was spot on and would fit in perfectly on brutal and corrupt The Seven. Or the writers could take him in a completely other direction and put him on Butcher’s team, which is brutal and means well. Maybe. Kind of.
Season 4 of The Boys is filming now, Amazon hasn’t shared a release date. Along with Morgan’s inclusion, the season will include more of Homelander‘s kid. He’s got some major choices to make.
