LEGO’s Lion Knights Castle we played with as kids is back and bigger than ever with over 4,000 pieces and 22 minifigs.
The castle and forestmen sets were my favorites as a kid – my first fancy-themed set was Forestmen’s Crossing with the painted baseplate that I chipped off over time. Though, I will admit I was sad that the minifig heads didn’t match the animal characters in Disney’s Robin Hood. My memory of that set is why I was very excited when the return of the castle was announced as part of LEGO’s 90th-anniversary celebration along with the Galaxy Explorer.

Lion Knights’ Castle is the set you remember, but bigger and better. It opens and has a bunch of movie parts – the castle’s drawbridge and portcullis raise and lower. You can get ready for battle in the fully stocked armory. It also has hidden passages minifigs can use to escape the dungeon. There’s even a secret hideout for the forest people.
