MTG: Dominaria United Spoilers Have Us Green With Envy
We’re back with another batch of Dominaria United spoilers, this time it’s all the big chonks and Llanowar elves of green.
We round out the color pie with a look at some of the biggest and greenest creatures in Dominaria. That’s right, it’s time for the Dominaria United green spoilers.
They’ve got everything from Llanowar Elves to rampaging wurms. All the old school stuff from Dominaria, now under attack from Phyrexia. What exactly can green get up to in Dominaria United? Let’s take a look.
Dominaria United – Green Spoilers
Now we come to the big green giants of Dominaria. In Dominaria United green is still all about big chonky creatures and surprisingly useful 1/1s. If you want to ramp into greatness, these cards will help you out. Colossal Growth makes something hit extra hard, while bog badger will tie up your opponent’s blockers trying to keep things from getting through.
What I really like is how many elves green has. Even the Wurm is associated with elves. But green can make some amazing domain plays as Gaea’s Might and Herd Migration showcase. Get some diversity of basic land types out there, and you’ll get a horde of beasts with the potential to be even beefier.
Now we come to the nostalgia portion of the Dominaria United green spoilers. Llanowar elves have long been a favorite, back since the earliest days. And these Llanowar Elves do so much more. The Loamspeaker has so much value, and all that for one and a green. On top of that, we get a big chonky baloth who can load up with smaller creatures and take something out big time style.
The one thing that surprises me the most, is we haven’t seen any bears.
Although we do get the Sunbathing Rootwalla, which is a lizard, but it’s also a bear. And it’s a bear that boosts based on Domain.
Territorial Maro sounds about right for Mark Rosewater.
And we close on some Yavimaya. All that’s left now are legendaries, lands, and the pre-release!
