MTG: Here’s The 2023 Magic Lineup – Oops All Phyrexians

At WotC Presents, we got a look at every upcoming Magic set for 2023, as well as 40K and Dr. Who universes beyond!

It has been one of the biggest years yet for Wizards of the Coast, and especially for Magic: the Gathering, which makes up some 70-80% of WotC’s revenue. So at this week’s Wizards Presents, Magic had a lot to show off. Everything from Universes Beyond, to Dominaria United, but most importantly, we got a look at every set coming in 2023.

And there’s a lot to look forward to. Let’s take a look at the Magic 2023 Lineup.

Magic 2023 Lineup

First up, Dominaria United, which ramps up the Phyrexian Arc. Or so they say. This is a major story arc for Magic, which follows the voyages of the Phyrexian Praetors, having accomplished their different objectives across the multiverse.

And now Dominaria faces the threat of an advanced Phyrexian army. Which brings us to the Brother’s War. Hot on the heels of Dominaria United, we go back in time to check out the conflict between Urza and Mishra. So get ready for artifacts.

Then in Phyrexia: All will be One and March of the Machine: the Aftermath the conclusion comes to a head. The multiverse’s planeswalkers band together to fight the Phyrexians, and as they get ready to fight their infinity war, we have to wonder what the endgame will look like.

Don’t much care for those oily Phyrexians? Fall takes us back to Eldraine for some delicious horror, then to the Lost Caverns of Ixalan.

A Look At Universes Beyond

But we also got some glimpses of what awaits us in two of the upcoming Universes Beyond sets. Warhammer 40K has been coming for a long time now, it feels like. Though who can say what time is anymore in 2022, where we can look all the way back towards the beginning of the universe.

And in the grim darkness of the distant future, there are themed Sol Rings for every deck.

And then later on, we visit the original Planeswalker. The Lord of Time in all their forms: the Doctor. Here’s a taste of Dr. Who x Magic:
