The ‘Marvel Multiverse’ RPG Gets a Release Date
Next year brings roleplaying once again to Marvel’s doorstep with release dates for the upcoming Marvel Multiverse RPG locked in.
Next year marks the start of the 6-1-6 system. Earlier this week, details emerged about the release date of the upcoming Marvel Multiverse RPG.
If you missed the news, somehow, this RPG set in the Marvel Multiverse puts you in the shoes of iconic superheroes (or you can create your own) with a unique dice mechanic based on the numbers 616. For obvious reasons. We’ve talked a little about the playtest before, you can try the rules out here. But now the game has a release date!
Marvel Multiverse RPG – New Release Date for 2023
The Marvel Multiverse RPG’s core rulebook has been in development for more than a year now. And the ongoing playtest has been fruitful, according to designer Matt Forbeck, who spoke to ICv2 about the process:
“We’re absolutely thrilled with the volume and quality of the feedback the Narrators and players gave us on the Playtest Rulebook, and we truly took it to heart for the core rulebook.”
Now, the Core Rulebook has been targeted for a June release. Followed quickly by their first adventure book, The Cataclysm of Kang.
This doubtless follows in step with Marvel’s plans for the upcoming cinematic story arc featuring none other than Kang the Conqueror. Which will help introduce fans to backstory and other concepts revolving around that whole arm of the Marvel empire.
