Warhammer 40K: Daemon Allies Won’t Break Your Chaos Lists
Do you want to include some Chaos Daemons in your Chaos Army but were worried about breaking your lists? The Allies rules are here to help!
The Chaos Daemons are coming to the tabletop with a new codex very soon. If you’ve wanted to dabble with them in your existing non-Daemon Chaos Army you’ll be able to thanks to their Daemonic Pact rules.
“So long as your CHAOS army includes just one LEGIONES DAEMONICA Detachment, which accounts for no more than 25% of your total Power Level, every model within it gets the AGENTS OF CHAOS keyword. This allows you to ignore many Detachment Ability restrictions when checking to see if everyone’s on the same team, just like Chaos Knight Dreadblades.”
Chaos Daemon Allies
That’s good news for anyone with a non-Daemon Chaos Army who wants to sprinkle in some of these new upgraded Daemons. But let’s say you’re a fan of a particular chaos god or you are playing a specific Chaos Space Marine army. Well, good news — you’re going to get some extra benefits.
That’s great news for anyone running those specific Chaos Legions. Personally, I’m really looking forward to this rule when the World Eaters codex comes out.
If you really want to mix-and-match you could build an army with Chaos Mortals, Chaos Daemons, and the Chaos Knight Renegades for a true combined arms army!
Adding in these Chaos Daemon Allies is going to be a fun modeling option as well as a great new tool for Chaos Armies in general. Once the community gets its hands on the Codex I’m sure the theory-crafting is going to be nuts. Using Chaos Marines as the core while you sprinkle in some Chaos Daemons as fast shock troops used to a strong strategy many editions ago. And now doing that again with a Knight sounds pretty solid!
