Warhammer 40K Next Week: Heresy Tanks, Dreadnoughts, And Terminators, Oh My
Next week sees the pre-order release of a spate of new tanks and terminators for the Horus Heresy. Sicarans, Spartans, and more!
Next week for Warhammer sees a roll-out in the best way, because what’s rolling out are two heavy tanks. You’ll also find new Dreadnoughts, Terminators, and more.
Whether you want heavy guns on treads or heavy guns on legs, you’ll find them in this week’s Warhammer Releases.
Horus Heresy Battle Tanks
Let’s start with pre-order release of the Sicaran Battle Tank—now in plastic for the first time! This heavy tank is loaded down with weaponns. You’ve got four sets of sponson weapons and nine pintle-mounted guns. So you’ll always have the firepower you need with this tank.
Want a side of transport with your heavy tank? Try the Spartan Assault Tank, which can carry 26 troops at once. In addition you’ve got a variety of sponson and pintle mounts to pick from.
Heresy Dreadnoughts
Prefer your heavy weapons platforms to be humanoid? Good news, you’ve got new Dreadnought options coming this week. The hulking Contemptor Dreadnought brings a variety of weapons to the table, ready to mix it up at range or up close and personal.
Eight guns. A pair of fists. And if you want you can pre-order the weapon frames separately so you can get the loadout you want for your Contemptor.
As you can see, there’s your choice of weapons, and there’s everything from assault cannons to conversion beam cannons.
If the Contemptor isn’t heavy enough for you, try the Leviathan Siege Dreadnought. You can already use the big close-combat variant, but if you’d prefer a ranged version, next week has you covered. You’ll get to pick from three different arm-mounted guns, and as with the Contemptor, you can pre-order the Leviathan weapon sprue separately to double up on whatever you want.
Terminators For Everyone
If the Dreadnoughts are too big for your tastes, there’s always the Terminators. Specifically the Cataphractii Terminators, the elites of the elites at the time of the Heresy. This kit is also usable as Relic Terminators in 40K!
Now, the Tartaros don’t look as bulky, but they’re actually more high-tech than Cataphractii armor. They can field a variety of weapons, and can be fielded by Space Marines armies in 40K too.
Last but not least, the two Legion Praetors from the Age of Darkness boxed set.
These both come with no Legion-specific markings, so you can easily field them in any force.
Age of Darkness Armigers
One last bit of kit to round out the pre-order releases next weekend: Age of Darkness Armigers. Outfit them as Helverins with autocannons, or Warglaives with chainswords, and you’ll be ready to wreck shop.
All this next week!
