Warhammer: 5 Things We Want To See At The NOVA Open Preview
This week Games Workshop is hosting a Warhammer Preview Online at the NOVA Open. Here’s what we want to see.
Get ready for a whole new batch of goodies from Games Workshop to be on full display at the NOVA Open. We know a few of the topics/game systems they are going to hit so here’s what we’re hoping to see.
Warhammer 40,000
The Leagues of Votann! First and foremost we’re fully expecting to see a ton of Leagues of Votann reveals and teasers. There’s gotta be some BIG stuff left and I’m betting GW saved it for this Wednesday to show off. Fingers crossed that we’re gonna see more from these space mining warriors.
Secondly, WORLD EATERS! We know Angron’s got an amazing new Plastic Kit on the way and Games Workshop teased that the World Eaters are getting the full army treatment. Along with new plastic Berserkers, what else are they getting? We can’t wait to find out!
Bonus: Astra Militarum — really we want to hit all the subjects from the Warhammer Preview, but we still wanted to mention the Astra Militarum. They’ve got to be on the horizon, right? RIGHT?!
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar
We covered this roadmap already and because of how time works we’ve been chugging along. At this point here’s where we stand:
Spring
- Nighthaunt (released)
- Daughters of Khaine (released)
Summer
- Skaven (released)
- Sylvaneth (released)
Autumn
- Lumineth Realm-lords (Arcane Cataclysm)
- Disciples of Tzeentch (Arcane Cataclysm)
- Destruction Battletome
- Destruction Battletome
Winter
- Slaves To Darkness (confirmed)
So what does that mean? Well, we’re hoping to find out what those next two Destruction Armies will be! Officially, Games Workshop could announce the Lumineth Realm-lords and Disciples of Tzeentch Battletomes, too…I just hope they have more surprises than that in store for AoS.
Warhammer: The Horus Heresy
You know, I’m not entirely sure where they are going to go next with the Horus Heresy. They could announce more army books. They’ve already announced the Land Raider Proteus as well.
Forge World has also been banging out Upgrade Kits for all the legions. So what else is there for them to do for the Horus Heresy? That’s kind of the big question — what’s next? Terrain? Campaign Books? More units? New surprise tanks like the Kratos?
I wouldn’t put that past GW! The door is wide open as the Horus Heresy is sort of this old familiar playground that’s gotten a remodeling and a fresh coat of paint.
Warhammer: Underworlds
The last Roadmap we had for Warhammer Underworlds was for the tail end of 2021 and went into Q2 of 2022. We’re past that point now and we’ve also had Nethermaze release back in April, too. Hexbane’s Hunters are out. So what’s next? I’m going to guess more Warband news from the Preview. There’s a chance we could even see a new core set announcement along with the logo update based on the image from the preview, too.
