If you thought the Mega-Gargants of the Sons of Behemat were tough now just wait until you get a dose of these reinforcements.

King Brodd was just the tip of the Mega-Garant Spear coming with the Sons of Behemat Battletome. There’s more changes ahead for these massive monstrosities. Today we’re getting a look at a new Mega-Gargant as well as a mighty new tool in their arsenal.

“King Brodd is the most mighty of monarchs, and to prove that might truly makes right, he has summoned the Beast-smasher Mega-Gargants to his cause. Together, they’ll create a gargant stomp powerful enough to wage war against the heavens themselves, and claim revenge for the death of Behemat. “

The Beast-Smasher Mega-Gargant is yet another variant of the Sons of Behemat. And it’s not just a subtle tweak of the hammer, head, or hands that sets him apart. It’s some new rules to match!

The Menhir Club is one wicked smasher. For starters the stats on it are pretty spicy! 3 attacks that hit on 3+ and wound on 2+ is already pretty good but…these are 5 damage swings! I’m going to guess the Rend either has a special rule or it degrades as the Mega-Gargant takes wounds. Either way — yikes!

Furthermore, if you’re up against a truly vicious foe you’ve got the option to go all in on one swing with the Beast-Breaking Strike. This can only be used on monsters but many is it going to leave a mark! You trade in your 3 attacks for 1 but the damage profile changes from 5 to 5d6 hits! That’s a potential 30 damage in one go!!! Even if you roll average you’re going to be doing quite the number on most monsters anyhow.

Naturally, the forces of Destruction can also hire their own Beast-Smasher Merc named Odo Godswallow. Ya know, just in case you need something to really put a dent in your enemies.

The Sons of Behemat are getting a new book soon. Just in case you were wondering what that rumbling in the distance was…
