This sensational new show is inspiring us to hit the streets with a League of Their Own closet cosplay! Let’s dive into the details.

A League of Their Own was one of my favorite movies growing up. I had (ok, still have) a MAJOR jones for Geena Davis, and I’m ALWAYS here for a story full of strong independent characters chasing their dreams. The world is pumping its fists with the newest iteration of the popular story, and we’re here with another costume idea- A League of Their Own closet cosplay!

The classic vintage baseball uniforms were an iconic and instantly recognizable look from the movie and now the show. Though the story has gotten an update, the uniforms still have the memorable look. We’re happy to discover that some easy-to-find costume options are available online, so this closet cosplay list is primed and ready for your holiday season!

1. A League of Their Own Closet Cosplay: The Jersey

The staple piece for a League of Their Own cosplay is the baseball uniform skirt. Luckily, there’s a ready-to-wear version available online, and it’s not expensive! Throw this on, and you’ll be recognizable no matter what accessories and shoes you pair it with. BOOM.

Want to go for the Coach look instead of the player? We gotchu covered. There’s a pants and jersey option available online as well, ready to go. Whether you’re hitting the streets or crashing a Halloween party, this costume is all you need to stand up a League of Their Own cosplay.

2. A League of Their Own Closet Cosplay: The Shoes

The ladies wear black leather cleats in the original movie, but really any black, white, or red baseball shoe or sneaker will get the job done. I can pretty much guarantee that nobody is going to be checking out your feet too hard, and only the sports aficionados will know better. If you’re going to be on your feet and walking around a lot, you’ll want to go with something comfortable for walking in. I suggest using whatever sneakers you have on hand, but if you want some specific, here you go:

3. A League of Their Own Closet Cosplay: The Socks

To keep your toes warm and tie the look together, a good sturdy baseball sock is a necessity. There are a ton of brands and styles, but these are cute and comfortable. Not much to say about a sock, get what works best for you!

4. A League of Their Own Closet Cosplay: The Cap

Last but not least, tie the look together with a baseball cap. Simple, holds your hair back, and completes the look. You can go extra and put a logo or patch on the cap, but streetwear cosplays are meant to be versatile. Feel free to keep it simple so you can reuse the hat for other cosplays or outfits.
