A new line of Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon Action figures returns to stores with heroes straight out of the 80s.

The Dungeons & Dragons cartoon proves to be the gift that keeps on giving for WotC and parent company Hasbro. The heroes of the 1983 cartoon are cropping up everywhere. From Wild Beyond the Witchlight to the Dragons of Stormwreck Isle starter set. And now, with a line of Dungeons & Dragons cartoon action figures, they’re back on the shelves of the toy department too.

It seems the cartoon is doing exactly what it was intended to do all along. As it once again is helping to drive people to the tabletop game. And these characters are helping to expand the world of D&D out into the mainstream. While also providing a way for fans to signal their love for the series and game. Over the years love for the show waned and waxed. The dark gritty 90s brought up a lot of hate for anything that wasn’t ironically rebooted.

But now, four-color heroes are everywhere once again. Whether it’s nostalgic joy or retro novelty capitalism will take your money just the same.

Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon Action Figures Rereleased

The new line, titled Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon Classics sees the return of some familiar faces from the original 80s cartoon. Fans can collect three heroes:

Diana the Acrobat.

Hank the Ranger.

And Bobby the Barbarian, who comes with the party’s pet, Uni the Unicorn.

Alongside these do-gooders from a distant land, just trying to figure out how to get back home, you can also nab two of the series’ prominent background figures.

The arch-villain Venger. And Dungeon Master, the helpful guide to the party of young adventurers.

Spoiler alert for a show old enough to have a podcast about the A-Team, but Venger and Dungeon Master being sold together is an interesting hint at their relationship in the show: Dungeon Master and Venger are father and son. A sort of reverse Luke and Darth Vader.
