Modiphius’ Homeworld Fleet Command is coming to the tabletop starting this November! Play through the 10-scenario campaign or tactical skirmish battles.

Based on the award-winning video game series, Homeworld Fleet Command is set to be a grand galactic battle that you’ll be able to play in an hour. The publisher is Modiphius, who also created the Adventures in Skyrim board game, and Dune: Adventures in the Imperium.

Multiple Ways to Play

The game can be played through a 10-scenario campaign that follows many of the points of the video game series, such as Return to Kharak, Supernova Station, and Tenhauser Gate. However, the rules will also allow for fighter skirmish games for 1 to 4 players. Plus, gaming groups with multiple copies of the game will be able to combine them together into some battles of a truly epic scale.

Homeworld Fleet Command is being developed by Gearbox Publishing, which is the same but different Gearbox from video games like Borderlands.

Hundreds of Ships

Each copy of Homeworld Fleet Command will contain 101 plastic ships, including the iconic mothership, 48 fighters. 23 corvettes, 24 frigates, 2 carriers, and 2 destroyers. On top of all that, a planned expansion will add another 100 ships to grow your fleet.

The game is set to begin crowdfunding in November, with no specific date set just yet. Although, you can sign up for the emailing list on the official product page to stay up to date on any updates.

Homeworld Fleet Command is based on the Homeworld video game series. This is a real-time strategy series that began in the 90s under Sierra Games. It was the first video game to truly allow players to fight in three dimensions. Then, it was remastered in 2015 by Gearbox Software and has “Very Positive” reviews on Steam. It’s a game series that has stood the test of time. And now, it is coming to your tabletop.
