These cosplayers like to poke around, and they’re back where east meets west- with these Wild Wild West cosplays!
It’s a quote from the movie, people!
Anyway, the ’90’s were a strange time for genre cinema. With the birth of films like Death Becomes Her and Austin Powers, audiences began to lean into the really inappropriate with their humor. No film is more indicative of this style of ’90’s comedy than the 1999 cult classic Wild Wild West. At Dragoncon 2022 one of our favorite cosplayers Arkanekani partnered up with Captainahmazing to give us some hilarious Wild Wild West cosplays.
Wild Wild West was a zany take on a steampunk western. With all sorts of Victorian-meets-Bond gadgets, some hilarious dialogue, and some big actors, the film was full of star power. Sir Kenneth Branaugh is almost unrecognizable as Dr. Loveless.
Will Smith and Kevin Kline are the buddy-comedy duo we didn’t know we needed, but their delivery is comedic gold. This film is absolutely nuts, and the cosplays are likewise hilarious. We hope you enjoy this quick peek into the Wild Wild West!
