Warhammer 40K: Leagues of Votann Got Hit With The Nerf Bat
The Nerf Bat has come down on the The Leagues of Votann with a new points increase and reworked Judgements.
Games Workshop has dialed down the Leagues of Votann with a a points update and rules change and they’ve issued a “apology” video, too.

You can check out their full article explaining the changes. We’re going to skip over those and just get into the actual changes — which you can find at the links below. First up let’s talk about the Judgement change:
Leagues of Votann Codex Errata
This new change makes it so that when a unit is “auto-wounded” by the Judgement tokens, they do not count an unmodified wound roll of a 6. This is a big change and will certainly take the damage output of the Leagues down a step.
Leagues of Votann Points Values
Points Increase Summary
- Uthar the Destined – 20 point increase
- Kahl – 10 point increase
- Einhyr Champion – 20 point increase
- Grimnyr – 10 point increase
- Brokhyr Iron-master – 10 point increase
- Hearthkyn Warrior – 1 point increase
- Einhyr Hearthguard – 10 point increase
- Cthonian Beserks – 8 point increase
- Hernkyrn Pioneers – 5 point increase
- Sagitaur – 20 point increase
- Brokhyr Thunderkyn – 5 points
- Hekaton Land Fortress – 70 points
As you can see it’s a points increase across the board for the army. At least now it will be cheaper to build a 2,000 point army.
Even with these changes the Leagues of Votann should still be a rock solid army to play. We’re still going to have to wait a bit for the army to actually show up on the tabletop considering most of the range still isn’t available yet.
That didn’t take long…
