With the pre-order for the Vanguard: Lumineth Realm-lords box coming this weekend we’re curious as to what sort of savings you’ll get with this box. If you’re unfamiliar, the Vanguard boxes are replacing the Start Collecting! army boxes and clock in at $130 USD.
Typically, these are solid starting points and are perfect for folks looking to kick off their respective armies. But what sort of a deal are we looking at with this box? Let’s crunch some numbers to find out.

Just based on that alone, this box is worth the price of admission! If you were looking to start a Lumineth Realm-lords army then this Vanguard Box is a great launching point. Based on that price and my scale of “Peat, Repeat, or No-Peat” this box is certainly a Repeat. Get two.
You might not need a second Scinari Cathallar, but you’re still saving roughly $50 on the other 3 units. That will net you 20 Sentinels and 20 Wardens with a block of 10 Bladelords. That’s a really good core to build up from.
