Horus Heresy: New Blood Angels Mark VI Upgrade Packs Announced
The Blood Angels are getting some very fancy new MK VI Upgrade packs for the Horus Heresy.
Games Workshop has announced a new pair of upgrade packs for the Horus Heresy. This time it’s the Sons of Sanguinius getting the fancy treatment with new Mark VI Upgrade packs for their head and shoulders.
“The Blood Angels have long been fans of aesthetic beauty, and the new Mark VI helmet set from Forge World perfectly reflects their artistic tendencies. Along with nine helmets for your troops in three designs, there’s a Sergeant’s helm and a bare head, showing off lush locks with a centre parting. It was the style at the time on Baal during the Horus Heresy.”
Naturally, we can’t just get some fancy heads without shoulder pads to match.
All of these upgrades are coming from Forge World which means they are resin. I like the extra gold inlay for the helmets asa nod to the craftsmanship that the Blood Angels were known for. I also appreciate that GW integrated the “beakie” look and changed up the vents as well. For the shoulder pads, I like how those are also variations on the same theme. Personally, I’ve never been a huge water-slide transfer user so having the sculpted pads was my preference.
